All of your Pokemon were gaining exp because of the event feature called Party Exp. Share. Since the event is over, Party Exp. Share is no longer active. Only Pokemon that contribute to the battle get Exp from it, but you can use an item called Exp. Share to get Exp on 1 more Pokemon from your party, aside from the ones that contributed to the battle.
