Hey everyone! Sorry for mention tag from the Discord, but I wanted to give a quick update about moderation and the Moderator Team.

For those who don’t know me, I’m Khlyst. I started as a Moderator earlier this year and have been working with the team to tidy up the Report/Appeal Boards on the forums

Honestly, the Moderator Team really feels bad about the delays in getting back to you regarding your suspended accounts. I totally get how frustrating it is to wait for months just to hear back about your account status.

We are committed to addressing these inquiries promptly and minimizing the backlog. In order to help you avoid any penalties on your accounts, I would want to share some information with everyone on the Official Forums who is going through the appeals process, along with some reminders and advice.

Chat Infractions

The Moderator Team, along with other groups in the Moderation Team, is taking charge to address problems with chat violations.

Even though we have fewer volunteers and are pressed for time due to things we can't control, our slow responses to these issues are sadly making things frustrating for our players who follow the game rules. I'm really sorry on behalf of the team that works to keep our community respectful.

While I do not wish to sound overly pessimistic, I really want to thank all the amazing community members who use the Report Center to flag violations. By making sure that rule-breakers face consequences, you're setting a great example for everyone else in our community.

So we kindly request all users to refrain from infractions by taking a moment to read our Chat Rules

Reviewing them will only require a few minutes of your time and will help you understand our expectations for being a respectful member of the community, thereby preventing any potential penalties on your account.

PVP - Illegitimate Rank Boosting, PVP Chests, & You

We hope you're enjoying the February Update, which includes PVP Chests. Although it took time to implement, it's a fantastic system designed to encourage more users to engage with the PVP System. Therefore, we want to remind everyone that Illegitimate Rank Boosting won't be tolerated in any circumstance regarding obtaining Account Rating or PVP Chests.

For clarification, the rule regarding boosting, I'll be happy to provide below.

PvP Rules said:
  1. Boosting in any form in Ranked PvP, random ranked included, is forbidden. Action will be taken if caught or attempted. | Rule explanation
  2. Intentionally queuing against a user to aid yourself or another user in the form of Rating, PvP Coins, etc will be considered as Ranked Boosting and will be punished accordingly.

In addition, if it wasn't clear, this boosting policy also apply to any third party helping you exploit our PVP system. (Ex. Third party = Brother, cousin, Godzilla, sentient headset, robotic arm, etc.)

If you happened to get in a battle with a third party, we ask that you use the /draw function via the in-game chat to conclude the match. Especially in cases where you are fighting someone on the same internet connection (IP Address) as mentioned in our rules above and below.

PvP Rules said:

If your guild has a "queue/game (q/g)"-system in place and you still accidental match or get into a battle with a connected third party, please offer draws for the matches by doing /draw. If you disconnect or give the opponent a free win, this might be considered boosting.

Every match is meant to be played out and not freely giving the win to someone else. You are 100% allowed to play against your guildmates if you choose to do so and play the full match out.

Dual queuing on both game servers is another policy modification we've already discussed, however players frequently forget that doing so could result in possible account suspension. The updated policy can be found below.

PvP Rules said:
  1. You can use only 2 of your own accounts to PvP within each season. Using any account you do not independently own, or using more than 2 accounts, will result in severe punishment.
  • Each account may only PvP on one server.
  • You may only have one account in the Top 25 at any point in the season.
    • This means one account across both servers – you cannot have one account in the Top 25 on Silver and another in the Top 25 on Gold.

I hope this has informed you about our policies concerning players using our PVP System. Enjoy your battles, and I wish you all the best of luck.

Using the Report Center

The Report Center serves as a valuable resource for reporting users who are clearly violating rules in-game or on the forums. I appreciate the users who take the time to report these individuals for breaking our policies, as I mentioned earlier. Thank you!

I want to remind you to be cautious when creating these reports. Additionally, please try to avoid putting yourself in a position where you could be harassed by informing users that you are reporting them. The primary appeal of reporting users is that you can remain completely anonymous when you send a report about a user to a staff member.  This is a guideline that should be adhered to for ALL kinds of reports, including PVP Infractions, Trade Issues, Real Money Trading, and Macros/Automation like botting.

Additionally, although I think users are intelligent, I want to clarify something. Do not behave like a tool by using our staff against other users. Typically, situations like this tend to backfire and may result in sanctions being imposed on you if feasible.

Appeal Delays

This section of the letter will discuss appeals that fall under the Moderator branch. Unfortunately, I cannot address appeals concerning our Community Coordinators, Trade Moderators, Game Masters, and Admins. However, please be assured that our entire team is aware of the delays in the other queues and is working on a plan to resolve them.

Concerning the Moderator Team, we manage chat infractions and PVP-related issues. At the time of writing this letter, we have generally resolved all appeals related to these infractions and are either awaiting a response from the community member or going through the process in which generally lead the removal of a suspension as long as a user is truthful.

If you have any issues in regards to an appeal relating to our role as Moderators, you are absolutely free to private message me via the forums or use the mention function in your appeals directed to me like this. (ex. @Khlyst)

Please be aware that any questions outside my role as a Moderator will not be addressed, to ensure that users with infractions related to our branch will receive the help they need.

Recruitment

Currently, some of our teams in the Moderation Banner are seeking volunteers. If you have already submitted an application, we will contact you if we are interested. If you haven't applied yet and believe you are a good fit, please feel free to apply. The only thing we ask is to follow the notated requirements in each application form.

In closing, Team Revolution along with our Moderator Team appreciates you for taking the time to read this letter and wishes you a wonderful day!
