Adiuvo
Finally, a guide for Pinkan Island! This unlocks the place where you hunt while asking "when next event?" The Pinkan Island Quests Prerequisites: - Johto Champion - A minimum of 25 hours of playtime. Recommendations before starting: - Have a relatively strong team - Prepare for submitting an Electabuzz and Scyther to the Ranger. Both Pokémon will need to be at least level 90 with max happiness, and once submitted, will be lost permanently. You do not need to be the original trainer of them. Part I Unlocking the island To start the quest, head to Vermilion City, and speak with Officer Jenny, who can be found in the middle of the cities pathway. Looks like Jenny was trying to apprehend 2 members of Team Rocket who managed to give her the slip. After offering your help, you're tasked with talking to locals for more information while she calls for backup. You'll find a witness next to the bench West of the PokeCenter. Spoiler She saw our suspects heading North to Route 6, so lets head that way. The route looks free of shady characters, so continue on to Saffron City. As we leave the stophouse, interacting with the Biker ahead informs us that the suspects mentioned they were going to steal supplies for a mission. The best place for supplies is the Department Store in Celadon City, so head there. Spoiler The store owner is a knowledgeable fellow, who says they've been robbed of their hunting supplies. Dang, they got away. OR HAVE THEY??? Spoiler On Route 7, we have 2 Team Rocket persons, whom you overhear confessing to their crimes. Spoiler They are Butch and Cassidy, who do not take kindly to your eavesdropping and fight you. Spoiler Their team consists of Raticate (80 with a flame orb), Hitmontop (79), Mightyena (79), Tentacruel (78), Hypno (78), and Charizard (81) After defeating them, they run away. Head back to Officer Jenny and update her with what happened. She informs you of secret plans for Team Rocket to steal Pokémon from Pinkan Island. Head South to the Harbor and talk with the Pinkan Island Sailor On Pinkan Island Immediately upon arrival, Officer Jenny explains the situation. A radio call reports a lower than expected pink population, and we'll go to the forest in the south to investigate. In this town, you'll find a PokeCenter (PC). Make sure you have a Pokémon with the move "Rock Smash". Once you head south from the town, you'll be stopped by the Pinkan Ranger. After offering to help them, the Ranger will take your Pokeballs as hunting the protected Pokémon is illegal. Going south into Pinkan Island Forest, you'll run into a Team Rocket grunt. He has a Raticate (86), Hypno (85), and a Weavile (86). After he runs off, we'll need to ferret out 3 more Team Rocket grunts in the forest. You'll get pop up notifications when you're getting close. Interact with the trees or shrubs to find them. Spoiler Rapidash, Electrode, Yanmega Spoiler Nidoqueen, Golbat, Crobat, Nidoking Spoiler Gengar, Spiritomb, Misdreavus Once you've cleared the route of Team Rocket, head south to Pinkan Island Cliff. You'll see numerous Rangers fighting Team Rocket, but a few Grunts will be alone and cornering a Pink Pokémon. The first will be a grunt confronting a Vileplume, with a level 100 Houndoom, Donphan, and Ariados. After, interact with the Vileplume, which now freed, leaves behind a Miracle Seed. You'll next find a grunt cornering a Parasect. He'll have a level 100 Venomoth, Beedrill, and Ariados. After the battle, interact with the Parasect, which will send it back to the forest, leaving behind a Big Mushroom. Spoiler Further on, we'll see Butch and Cassidy again, cornering a Pink Rhyhorn, and with a new and improved team. They'll have a Nidoking (89), Nidoqueen (88), Shuckle (86), Aggron (87), Cloyster (87), and a Primeape (86). Officer Jenny arrives to provide support. After defeating them, Jessie and James of Team Rocket show up. We'll use the distraction as an opportunity to free the Pink Rhyhorn, but it's a bit wary of strangers, so try to calm it down first. Spoiler However, Giovanni shows up to stop us. We'll have a brief moment before the battle to heal up with potions or other items if needed. He'll have a full team of level 100 Pokemon, featuring Persian, Tyranitar, Excadrill, Rhyperior, Nidoking, and Mega Kangaskhan. After defeating Giovanni, Officer Jenny with thank you for your help, and will return to you your Pokeballs. The damage done by Team Rocket was severe, keeping the island closed a bit longer. You are transported back to shore of Pinkan City. At this point, you will need your prepared Electabuzz and Scyther. If they're not ready, you can take the ship back to Vermilion. Otherwise, collect the 2 Pokémon at the PC, and head south to talk to the Pinkan Ranger again. You will permanently donate the 2 Pokémon to the Ranger, which will help restore the affected populations. Once donated, speak to the Ranger again, who will now allow you to hunt Pinkan Pokémon. This also unlocks 2 Pinkan bosses for challenging, Officer Jenny (lighthouse in Pinkan City) and Klohver (Pinkan Island Meadow) Part II Oh wow a part 2, never saw this coming. After offering your services, Officer Jenny will send you off to headbutt trees to find which ones carry the Berry.
