These guides tell me to do the same thing i looked up on youtube but i am still not having any luck... I don't think i can skip this either

Did you search the trash cans inside of the kitchen for a Pecha Berry?

 

Once you have a Pecha Berry, you need to talk to the Doctor who is next to the door in the kitchen. Tell him you want to help the captain.

 

From there, travel to the 2nd floor and talk to the pharmacist, Jenson. He's located in the last room before the Captain's.

 

Your next step is to go to the ballroom. Head all the way to the left side of the map and talk to Blissey to recover the potion.

 

You can probably figure out the rest from there.
