Title. Sorry if the formatting is bad first try at this.

 

Basically I'm stuck on Giovanni. I lack Pokemon to challenge ground based Pokemon and would appreciate help with what I should do next. Pokemon are as follows:

Pikachu 46

Raticate 32

Pidgeotto 28

Sandslash 22

Poliwag 15

Bellsprout 17

Hi! Here's a helpful guide on the Celadon Team Rocket quest. As per the guide's recommendations, you should try to level your Poliwag up to around 40 or so - it should be able to take on Giovanni's Ground-type team after that. You could also get your Sandslash up to 33, when it'll learn Dig, since that move will be super-effective against almost all of Giovanni's team except for the Persian.

 

If you're having trouble leveling Poliwag up, my advice is to keep it unevolved (you'll start getting notifications for a Poliwhirl evolution starting from level 25 and on, but keep clicking "No") while you train it up. If you've already beaten all the Team Rocket grunts, you can train at the grass on Routes 7 and 8. Reaching level 40+ should be quick enough from there.
