Hey, hey, hey. Woah, just listen to me first.

I know that people used to abuse the rename function in this game and therefore we aren't able to rename our beloved Pokemon.

But I have a good idea to make our dream come true, the renaming of our Pokemon.

We, in this case me, should be able to see the names of our Pokemon. That means, if A renames his Pikachu "Pika" and he battles or shows his "Pika" to his friend B, B still sees the name "Pikachu" and not the name, A has given to it.

First of all you will be like: "Woah and where's the use of it?", let me explain to you.

1. You could just have fun naming your Pokemon the way you want to. Parental guidance of course.

2. You could find sync Natus faster, if it already shows the nature of them, because you named them like the nature they have.

3. It's better than nothing, isn't it?

Now I want to know what you guys think about my idea.

This will be shot down for one and only reason that they keep repeating.

If they allow players to rename their pokemon a large number of them will add innapropriate names, they even warn you to create accounts carefuly cause if your name is offensive or not pg you can get banned with no notice permanently, and there are a ton of people that still use such names, there is no control over it.

I don't see anything wrong with it besides the note that they have to revert names upon trade...To avoid the the aforementioned problems staff had with the concept.

 

I'm not sure how complex the new system will be but i expect finding syncs wont be as difficult as it is currently

Good idea, and make it so only the player can see the nicknames of their pokemon

Maybe using the same code for happiness? When you trade the happiness come back at the catch value.

 

I liked the OPs idea. If you are the only one seeing, why not?

First of all thank you guys for replying to my suggestion.

I didn't think about the renaming for a trade, but I like TucanoAlbino's idea that the pokemon loses his nickname after a trade, like the happiness.
