I would Like to suggest,

 

System Notifications on:

 

* When we Catch a Pokemon..Like it would say. : " You have successfully caught _______ "

* If the caught Pokemon have any Held Item. : " _________ is Holding ______ "

* After a Pokemon Levels up. : "__________ is Leveled up to ___ level"

* After having Inactive for a long time. (After 10 mnts of course) : " You have been inactive for ____ minutes "

Not always people have their chat boxes showing up, this is one of the reasons for these messages to be displayed on the battle screen, another reason is less spam while you chat. And when game goes live you'll be kicked out the server instead of being warned. About the pokemon holding an item, you can use a pokémon with the Frisk ability. :)

 

 

 

 

1. you can see that in the battle screen

2. you aren't supposed to know until you check it.. use the ability frisk to see held items.

3. It does with items, and in battle level ups show you in battle..

4. It does, it sets you to AFK.. and tells you so.
