All Pokemon are put in up to gen 3. Most from gen 4 are added, and there are a few from gens 5 and 6 that have been added. All Pokemon from gens 1-3 have an updated move list for gen 6 moves but the rest do not. Also this game runs on gen 6 mechanics.

In the database there are all pokemon from every generation contained. It's just that the spawn organization can't allow them all to be catchable. On events of course there are always some exclusive Pokemon that appear.

Excatly, even if lost of pokemon are not updated to gen VI yet.
