Won a battle versus NPC, lost $188k

I was playing against an NPC and he used explode killing his last poke and mine, the messages say that i won the battle and reward me with poke dollars but also takes just under $190k from me. Video proof bellow. Surely this isn't right?

But it also says i won, and even gives me $1509 for winning

NPC just trolled you lolllll, but yes even though you won, you blacked out. Black out = RIP 5% of your money

The same thing happens in the handheld games though, right? After all of your Pokemon faint, no matter what the circumstances, you lose some money and are teleported to the Pokemon Center.
