Hi, guys. I don't know if this suggestion was made before.

 

My suggestion is to show to the players in chat a countdown alert about the server reboot.

Something like this (Same as in the Safari Zones alerts):

System: In 5 minutes the server will be restarted...

Why am I suggesting this?

I've experienced some annoying stuff when the server goes down, the game simply log out and when you try to reconnect the executable crashes. The players don't know when the server is down (I know about the server status links), but this idea is more user-friendly and probably will "reduce" a lot of bugs because the players will already know about the restart, and they don't go to the "bug spots".

There's already a warning from the System when they are about to put the server into maintenance or reboot it :Grin:

 

The server is locked, and the warning is given 10 minutes and 5 minutes before the server goes down.

 

And it's a warning that shows up on the middle of the screen, and won't go away unless you manually close it. So everyone should be able to see it.

 

 

 

 

If there's no warning, then it's an unpredictable crash. No one can make a warning for something they cannot predict when it will happen, so.......
