does critical hit work like in gen's 1-5 where the highest you can get is around 50%, or is it from gen 6 where landing criticals is much easier but less damaging?

it should work like gen 5 i think, but the back end stuff will be updated to gen 6 soon, due to old code needing to be replaced.
