As a lot of the staff may remember I used to make skins for another game, I enjoyed it.

And as bluntly as I was informed that it is not possible, I was wondering if there was a way people interested in doing so could.

Currently we do not want people to skin the client, nor there are any plans to be able to do so. Having said that, we discussed about client having several basic color schemes to choose from. The game is out for 2 weeks and it is always being worked on the client. That alone will make skinning useless. However, we might recruit a graphic designer if someone who has some free time and skill can surprise us.

 

There are two simple variables in this case; People who are trying and people who can do something art wise. We might offer a designer position to any of those two if they can surprise us. Graphical designer would be suitable word for it. If you want to skin, you can skin by being productive as you learn. As a result you give people a legit interface to play on and with. Simple as that.
