Has this been suggested yet? I remember someone talking about this, not sure if it was a player or an admin. I couldn't find anything from the forums.

 

This would be great addition along with the double battles (Any news on that btw?), maybe you could get battle points from winning like in the original games and buy battle items/berries with those points etc.

I agree maybe since this is an mmo when ever you start battling you can choose to battle other players or NPC's
