[SOLVED] Linux client performance issues on Ubuntu

Featured Replies

Hi,

The problem is the game stutters like hell on Ubuntu. The main menu background animation works like it's 2 fps. I can't even login to the game, because it freezes for a minute when I click something. It worked perfect 2 or 3 updates before.

It's kinda weird cause it takes only 6% of CPU and 106MB RAM.

Now the info:

Device: HP ProBook 5320m

System: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS 64bit

CPU: Intel Core i3 CPU M350 @ 2.27GHz x 4

Graphics: Intel Ironlake Mobile

300GB HDD

4GB RAM

What I've tried:

-installing newest intel graphics drivers

-checking the system monitor: 70% of RAM is free and there's 2% more CPU usage beside the client

Halp? :(

Did you install the game correctly by following the Linux installation guide? <URL url="https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=121&t=24962"><LINK_TEXT text="https://pokemonrevolution.net/Fo ... 21&t=24962">https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=121&t=24962</LINK_TEXT></URL></r>

Re: Linux client performance issues on Ubuntu

<t>Yup, and I'm executing it with -force-opengl attribute.<br/>

<br/>

//EDIT<br/>

BAM! I solved it. :D<br/>

<br/>

Solution:<br/>

1. Go to /home/username/.config/unity3d/<br/>

2. Delete PROTeam catalogue<br/>

3. Run the game<br/>

4. Default settings are applied and there's no more stuttering! :)<br/>

5. Bon apetit!<br/>

<br/>

The downside is the fact that we still don't know what caused the problem in the first place. :P</t>
