Hey Kiell! Welcome! My first pokemon videogame was also Pokemon Ruby! I remember that i took a machoke to lvl 100 tying to make it evolve! XP jajajaja I wouldn't imagine that it only evolved by trading! jajajaja Hopeyou enjoy the game! :y:
