Route 35 : Spearow quest (Johto)

good day, today come to report a problem I have with the mission of the two officers on Route 35 johto, them must give me a Spearow with a message(item ), the problem is that this Spearow not have any item and am currently stuck ,and dont know what else to do, :Shocked:

The mail isn't an item. Just talk to the guard at Goldenrod City directly and you will finish the quest. :)
