Tr3y
The move is coded but does not work properly. When you click U-turn, Volt Switch, or Baton Pass on PRO it immediately forces you to choose the next pokemon you want to go out to. This isn't how it is supposed to work. When you click U-turn, Volt Switch, or Baton Pass you are supposed to attack first and choose the pokemon you want to go out to AFTER the opponent attacks or switches. I used Pokemon Showdown as an example of how these moves are supposed to work. Video Evidence: PRO (Notice how when I click Volt Switch it immediately forces me to choose the pokemon I want to go out to): https://youtu.be/aPj4yC62Zns Pokemon Showdown (Notice how when I click U-turn I am given the option to choose my next pokemon AFTER Landorus attacks the opponent with U-turn). https://youtu.be/viKFIwhotVU Thank you for your consideration. I can also provide video evidence of Baton Pass too if needed. Please let me know.
Guest LiquidSnakeK
How does it make a difference tho? Because you still attack after the move is queued up. And the poke still comes in your place.
Tr3y
273928 How does it make a difference tho? Because you still attack after the move is queued up. And the poke still comes in your place. The difference is, when the move is working correctly, you are supposed to choose the pokemon you want to go out to after the opponent makes his move. In PvP this is crucial because you can adapt to what the player does if he switches out or stays in. In PRO you are not given the opportunity to adapt to a player's move. You are immediately forced to choose the pokemon you want to go out to before the player chooses what he wants to do. In PRO the order is = 1. Click U-turn 2. You choose your next pokemon 3. Opponent switches or attacks In Showdown the order is = 1. Click U-turn 2. Opponent switches or attacks 3. You choose your next pokemon Showdown's order is correct. Guest LiquidSnakeK
Showdown's order is correct. I guess its to maintain their stance on how they don't want you to see what poke they swap in before you can make a decision. So if you feint a poke in the handhelds you can choose to swap once you see what their poke is, but in PRO you have to wait until the swap the poke in before you can choose any counterplay, which is ridiculous imo. But it makes pvp more "Challenging". I guess the function of U-Turn or Volt Switch is nullified if you can't see what the opponents move is

U-turn and Volt Switch are 2 of the most important moves in PvP when working correctly. But when you have to choose your next pokemon before the opponent makes his move it removes the usefulness of the attack. "U-turn's ability to do competent damage [glow=red]and capitalize on switches[/glow] made it the defining move in what would later be the VoltTurn strategy" (Deck Knight). Guest UnknownUser11
i know how its meant to be. But PROs crappy system doesn't support such a thing yet.
