This one says assault vest is obtainable as a goomy hold item, but any held items I found on goomy was black sludge. The item lagging tail, I got from a lickitung I caught. Are some items here incorrect? Also, is there a more up to date / correct item guide if this one has mistakes.

Some Guides are outdated so, not sure which one is the latest however.

That guide is very useful in general and I still look at it from time to time but like Pelfie said some of the things in it might be outdated and the guide might not show the whole picture. This assault vest on goomies for example, I have hunted a lot of them and never got one. So it might be that that item was removed from them or that it is just a very very slim chance to get it. Lagging tail for example, I know that still pops on slowpokes and not just in Dragon den, as I used to get a lot of them in Sevii islands.
