Guest lampshadejaz
What's the best nature for a tanky Ninetales on a sun team? Is it a Bold/Calm? Or should I go a different direction and EV train a Timid Ninetales into a tank? Bold nature is probably better to help balance out Ninetales' DEF and SPDEF stats. But Will-O-Wisp helps prevent physical damage when casted anyway. But I might need the Timid tanky Ninetales to survive long enough to case Will-O-Wisp against some fast physical attackers, but against those fast/physical attackers I could just cast Drought then switch poke and avoid those confrontations all together. Tr3y
With Ninetales you should always aim for a Timid nature. With this nature it puts it in a speed tier that allows it to outrun the likes of Timid Togekiss, Mamoswine, Lucario and other base 80-90 speed pokemon. If you want your ninetales to be bulky you can always use 252 HP / 252 Speed / 4 Sp Def EVs. :y: Link to comment https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/topic/46765-ninetales-on-a-sun-team/#findComment-287140 Share on other sites

Speed is mandatory for Ninetales, even on a defensive one, to outspeed key threats below 100 base speed and burn them with WoW before they can attack you [glow=green]Katie Ledecky doesn't break records, she sets them[/glow] [glow=green]~L'élégance, la science, la violence~[/glow] Link to comment https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/topic/46765-ninetales-on-a-sun-team/#findComment-287143 Share on other sites
