EV Training is a pain, the least fun part of this game

So i'm not impatient, I just have a lot of things to do in real life. The though of spending 2 additional hours per poke just on EV training makes me cringe. I just don't have that much time in a week. The way you feel about EV training is the way I feel about leveling, battling, gyms, etc. I love the other aspects of the game, I just don't' share the joy on EV training. I feel like it's as task or an obstacle.

It is your right to feel that way my friend. However, knowing other options exist and still not being satisfied displays a level of impatience. Surely you must see this. You even said that you went to daycares, but then mentioned how it takes so long. If you're so "Busy" why does it even matter how long it takes? Things take time, both in a game and in life.

Also, I find cleaning my house extremely fun. Especially when I'm expecting company

I want to say a couple of things about it even if i might don't express myself completely well in english because it's necesary.

I understand what JollyolNathan says, obviously as a MMO it needs to be time consuming, that's not the problem. Leveling algo consume time as it should, but as lampshadejaz said it's entertaining. Ev training it's just awful, and even if you have to consume time to train, what is normal, it should be fun. This is a game not a job, we should have fun playing it and this is probably the worst part of this game. Don't missunderstand me, I love this game, but this is one of its weaknesses.

It's false that in Nintendo's games this is the way you do it. In the last games you can ev train a poke so much faster fighting 5 pokes at the same time and other ways.

I think it can get better like lampshadejaz said with a item like macho brace but with a better boost even if we have to pay it, or if MS doubles the EVs for pokemon defeated like it does with experience and money.

So you might classify it as a level of impatience, but i do not. I'm an engineer and a designer. I look for design flaws in everything and i'm always thinking of ways to improve everything I do on a daily basis. I'm just pointing out the least fun aspect of the game that I currently enjoy playing. It has little to do with impatience and more to do with fun per hour of game play. I suppose you could argue that every aspect of every game should not be fun. But that's probably a longer debate. We're also getting into "fun for some people but not others" which is a battle that will always happen.

Funny about cleaning btw

nah, in my opinion we don't need to change it, because we have vitamins to put 100 evs, we have spots with only one pokemon ev such diglet/dugtrio at diglets cave, ruins of alph, wooper/quagsire to hp ev.. mt. mortar upper with krabby and kingler to atk ev, a lot of tentacool to train sp def and also we have a ev zone at safari kanto...

When i have to train ev, i use my vitamins to put it 100 ev and i go to safari or that spots, i use alt + enter to divide PRO's window and i watch youtube in chrome.

but it's just my opinion and sorry my english xD

Yes but do you think it's good that you have to watch youtube when you are training because the game is boring? A game like this should be hard, I agree, but it always should be fun

In a way that's good, so the DayCare service can work.

And spending 10-20$ in the game can grant you "a few" EV+LvL services from them  .

It can be a pain but there are always people willing to do it for you, for some Poke$.

And in this game Poke$ = Real $, if you decide to pay to win things.

292126 I think that you're forgetting that this is an MMO, it's supposed to be time consuming. Plus, EV training was the exact same in Nintendo's games.

Also, this is pay to win.

292120 -Make it more convenient/efficient to do it yourself. Add more items like the Macho brace only instead of 2xing the EV points, 5x or 10x them. I would pay the game company $5 or 100 coins for that item. Hell i might pay $10 or 200 coins for that item.

Overall, I very highly doubt that this will change.

I don't know about pay to win. Its certainly not a very good idea, but p2w? Really? Are you actually winning the game because you are able to gain an absolutely monstrous amount of EV's in any given battle? I mean Those EV's would be obtained anyways, the time is merely shortened. You can still purchase said pokemon if you don't have this crazy little item anyway. Same could be said for MS only pokes. If you can't afford to buy an MS in game or Buy one from the coin shop how is that NOT pay to win? Because you can still purchase said pokemon from other players.

At any rate. As Nathan said, the game is an MMO. It is SUPPOSED to be time consuming. That is the very nature of every MMO. If you are impatient or merely don't appreciate the success that comes with effectively training your pokemon, that is your right. However, I personally find EV training to be quite fun especially when I can train my favorite stats, like hp or atk, or speed. I"m also thankful for the macho brace, as this means I can now get a full 252/252 set of EVs done in less than 2 hours.

Gotta look at the cup half full sometimes bud

That's how every p2w starts. First they start reducing the grind you have to do by paying an amount of money, then another grind you have for another amount of money, then you have 2 things that'll benefit you(the one who's paying) over the guy who's not paying anything. That my friend, is p2w
