Pre-Evolution Moves Should Be Relearnable

343590 I know all those facts. They don't contradict any of the points I made in my original post though. Official games are different to the MMO environment we have here. In the official games you're able to breed like I mentioned in my original post, which you seem to have dodged. Not on PRO.

This may not be a huge issue for common Pokemon, but it is a pretty big one for the rarer ones that have already been mentioned in this thread, and the ones that I would definitely have missed. I could even give a related example: Clefable can be encountered in the wild (Moon) but you can't teach it Moonblast. Stinky scenario if you find an epic Clefable tbh... You'll have to stick to Disarming Voice or wait for Dazzling Gleam TM which isn't as useful as Moonblast.

I'm gonna repeat myself here, because somehow people seem to miss it. It's limiting our options. It took me a good 2-3 days (seriously) to decide if I wanted to get rid of Ancient Power on my Togekiss. And I did in the end... What's going to happen if I wanted to get it back? Or another move? Hunt for a new one? I hunted 5h+ a day for 1.5-2 weeks for the said Togekiss. Should I really be forced to go through the same process just for a change in moveset? What happened to altering original game mechanics to accommodate MMO environment?

No offense, but I don't need to see facts. There's not a single post that renders my arguments useless.

Hello chameleon,

this was a quote from someone here in the forum. I never played the original games in that way with specific movesets and so on, so honestly I don't know that.

I didn't say that I was against the suggestion, it's rather a good suggestion and on top of that a long requested one too. :)

Have a nice day!

  • random number generation

An acronym for "random number generator" or "random number generation", it refers to the process by which computers generate apparently random numbers, essentially the computer equivalent of 'chance'.

Oops, apologies then.

I initially requested the thread to be unlocked so I can bump it with a similar post to the one you just quoted. But after seeing your post and thinking you're against the suggestion only because that's how it is in the original games, I decided to quote you and write up my thoughts. My bad, sorry.

You have a nice day too!

I started pro 3 weeks ago and I had no idea that move relearner doesn't enable us to relearn pre-evolution only moves. I trained my Breloom to almost lv 100 and was thinking about its moveset when I realized that I can't get spore on it. Now I can't even sell it. I totally agree with charmeleon and I think pre-evolution moves should be relearnable.

Its the similar probleme with the miss-evo ( a charmander lvl 99 for exemple ). In the real game u dont need to keep your poke unevolved, but in PRO u need because u will win lot of time.

Then if u add bug possibility / crash server / miss clic u can easily have a pokemon who can't evolve.

A good solution could be to add a NPC who downgrade a lvl ( exemple : lvl 99 => lvl 98 ) and if the poke is evolved, delete the evoled. We can imagine a high price ( 70k for exemple ), with a cooldown because its a DNA manipulation.

Exemple : If I give a lvl 100 Clefable to a NPC , he will give me back a lvl 99 Clefairy with the same ivs/evs.

This will solve 2 problemes in 1 !

I think it's a great idea.

There are obviously all the failed pokemons like Clefables without Moonblast but then there are pokemon like Roserade. The problem is that Roserade has so many pre-evo moves that you just can't afford to change your mind. I have Toxic Spikes on a Roserade and i wanted to try Spikes (egg move) but i wouldn't be able to get back Toxic Spikes if decided to try it so i don't change it. Can't get Aromatheraphy anymore either. The list goes on. It would definitely be nice to not have to worry about these restrictions.
