I had this feeling too, Keres' Gardevoir dealt 80% HP with it (first turn so no boosts ofc) to my full EV Spedef Rhyperior; I know it's not a spe wall but still, even a Modest Mega Gardevoir shouldn't deal more than 21% HP on a crit to him with Stored Power, according to https://pokemonshowdown.com/damagecalc/ x) But I assumed that it was buffed for the Boss, idk.
