Hello. I have come to the point in the game where you fight the trainer, "Youngster Joey". He has 6 Rattatas, and I was breezing right through him. When I got to around the third one, my game started feeling delayed. I knew this was some sort of lag issue (it wasn't my internet because my ping was fine and my friends were experiencing issues as well). Eventually, I decided to relog because at that point my game was practically frozen. I attempted to relog for the next ten minutes, and IF I got on the server, it was too laggy to even move (ping lag). Eventually, it got to the point where I could establish a stable connection and actually play the game. I went to go fight him again, and he now has a cooldown. I read on the forums that boss cooldowns last for 2 weeks. So, now I have to wait 2 weeks for me to be able to play the game again?!?! If there is a way to reset this cooldown, please help me. I don't want to have to be forced to do nothing for 2 weeks (almost all pokemon are level 100 or close to that). Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I am sorry to hear about this inconvenience. Unfortunately as said in this post:

Some times when the game crashes/stuck, you might lose your a bit of your progress. Keep in mind that game is in BETA and crashes can happen any time. You will not be given anything you lost in a rollback/crash/stuck.

I am sorry to have to inform you of this, however I do have some good news for you, the Youngster Joey boss actually has a cooldown of 2 hours! So you should be able to challenge him 2 hours from the time you disconnected. That being said, I will now be locking the thread, and I wish you luck in your future battle with Joey! :)
