Hi, there is a NPC in the game after the brock gym that says he give me a shiny Magikarp i accepted but he gaved me a normal one.

Is there any way you guys can solve this ?

the npc seller in the PC in route 3 is not meant to give you a guaranteed shiny. the chances of getting a shiny pokemon from an NPC is higher than encoutnering one in the wild IIRC

Hello GoDZeoN, I am sorry for the confusion you are experiencing. I went to talk to the NPC called Magikarp Seller and test it myself and the dialogue shows:

The NPC indeed has a shiny chance of spawning a shiny Magikarp, but it's not a confirmed spawn. I am sorry for the inconvenience you have experienced and I understand the confusion as I think I would fell for it myself. We will talk in the team in giving the word Maybe more visible to players to prevent a future incident.
