Cinnabar Lab Room 2

I was gonna face Oak in the room, but it seems like ghosts took control of the lab.

Top right says cinnabar lab room 2, so I'm not trippin'. The room is equal to room 1, except it's full of invisible walls, talking to the npc's freezes the game and I get a system message telling me that I failed to interact with the npc. Is it just me or it's general ?
