You need to ''speak'' to everything in the house. Table, chairs, windows, everything. The trick master is disguised as an object.

Thats what I did but nothing worked, will keep trying.

Exatly like spyrosvl said, the NPC is there hidden, talk to the paper on the top middle of the map to reset the variable.
