trapping pokes

hi; is it allowed to trap a pokemon in PvP! if yes how! mean look doesn't seem to work properly

Yes trapping them is allowed but dont use shadow tag ability pokemon it is banned in ranked. Just use arena trap i guess dugtrio have the ability.

 

Ps: i dont have idea in mean look, can you explain how it is bugged

when i used it; i couldnt switch my poke and the other poke could switch (after my poke faints; but before i am not sure)

does arena trap ability trap the poke permanently; even after dugtrio switches or faintes!

Mean look effect will gone if you switch to other pokes.

 

And no arena trap does not trap fly pokemon o levitate if im correct, also if you swith the trap will gone

ty; all clear now. i will go for the binding moves. i am thinking of a strategy that traps a poke ; cripples its att or spatt to allow boosting other poke with dragon dance; shell smash for a turn or two. still looking for the right combination

Arena Trap only works as long as Dugtrio is on the battlefield (I suggest Memento if you wanna decrease your opponents stats)

Mean Look isn't coded correctly, it only traps your own pokemon and the opponents one. :)

you may also use magnezone to trap metal pokes if you like traps :)

An exemple is the the way i use kricktune:

 

to trap the adverse staller (the common regenerators, blissey, clefa) in your infestation, to use requiem, protect, and spider web then to switch into a ghost type so it won't rapid spin before he dies or into anything to remove the entry hazards.

 

 

Rapid Spid remove this ability so don't use it on the common leads since they often run rapid spin
