Fight Bosses in gyms without fighting other trainers?

Hi!

 

I just fought against the first boss, Brock, and a few days ago I've lost against the other trainer in his gym. So I was unable to fight him back and was just able to fight Brock.

 

Now I`m finished with fighting Brock and got my badge.

 

Is it a problem, that I didn't fight the other trainer in his gym?

As said above by elyas2016, that is not a problem at all. It's okay to skip gym trainers because you only need to beat the gym leader to obtain the gum's badge. However, skipping gym trainers could lead to you missing some money and exp so that might want to be something to consider before you do so.
