How ivs and evs are trained for a pokemon? I know pokemons can be levelled up by battling. Also nature is very imp too. But whats ivs and evs and how can it be gained? I am pretty new so please detail me about this

if you clicking your pokemon, you will see beside the stat there number with blue and orange color, blue is iv while orange is ev. iv cant be changed, but ev can by killing pokemon, feeding vitamin, or feeding ev reducing berry

Yo ok i tell u in details example u catch a pikechu and its have in and ev how u know which one is in and ev when u open the pokemon bar u see a orange colour point like atk31 spd 25 sp atk 31 sp def 21 and hp 28 but after beside the iv u see a blue colour set which is empty cause u dont battlr him when battle with another poke the ev gained and there are aldo some berries who can reduce ur ev like u unfortunatle ev tran ur pike hp the u can use the berry maybe this will help

IV's are randomly generated per pokemon, ranging from 1 - 31.

IV's are permanent, immutable or unchangeable.

EV's are by default, empty upon caught or recieved.

EV's can be gained by defeating certain pokemon depending on the desired EV to gain.

Example, defeating a Pidgey will give you a Speed EV of 1, Pidgeotto gives 2 and 3 if Pidgeot.

Macho Brace, an item that doubles the gained EV.
