Took me by surprise.

But for those of you who has been and beaten the Kanto's final gym (Giovanni)

I was like, WOAH!

Wiped out my whole team! (Well, one was level 70 and the rest were probably to weak)

 

A team member of mine suggested catching a magnemite with Sturdy.

So I did that... so now I'll be training that magnemite tomorrow.

 

Any other advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Which Pokemon/Types should I bring with me to take this gym down?

 

What level should I be? Thanks!

A level 80 starter which can tank one hit will do and one revive.

but i recommend you following your friend advice as if you struggle with giovanni, you are going to have a wonderful time at the elite four. haha

you don't need to train the magnemite just use it in the first turn sturdy will tank the first attack of mewtwo use thunder wave and mewtwo paralyzed is an easy target.

my charizard handled it him easily :O

That worked wonders.

Magneton (level 22) with Sturdy, taking the hit with 1 HP left, using Thunder Wave,

And Charizard finishing it off easily because it kept not being able to move.

A Charizard or Arcanine that is faster can OHKO it.

I have a Jolly Charizard after all! Haha.

OMG! With thunder wave by Magnemite, it is very easy for Mewtwo to be crunched by my Gyrados (only Lv 68, no strict training on EVs. Not really good IVs.) Just one dragon dance and 2 Crunch, done!

 

(Even easier than the 7th Gym...Why?)
