I think this is quite hilarious, though relogging it fixes it or via escape rope but I think it's best if this can be fixed properly on the game itself.

Players can also get locked in a similar way in Route 39, in the area right above Olivine. If you stand in front of the last bushes, and the male Camper noticed you and run towards you for a battle, after the battle you'll be locked in position since all 4 directions are blocked.

 

 

You can't jump the ledge on the left because a lamppost is on the way, you can't move to the right because the NPC won't move, you can't go forward because of the bushes, and you can't go back because you cannot go back up a ledge.

 

The only way to get out is by relogging, which will make the NPC move again, allowing you to get out.
