Its an MMO, even in Maplestory you get skills that would teleport you around to a place to transport you over anywhere(Pantheon Portal)

So they could add in a map that could only use fly to access a map with an NPC that would transport you over or Kanto, Johto, Hoenn or Sinnoh (once complete of course)
