Rock Climb error..getting message ' You Dont have credentials to Climb these'

Hello Everyone,

I have defeated all 8 gyms in johto but still havent defeated E4 johto.I got venipede from bug catching competition and trained to level 40 after which it learned Rock climb move.However when i try to climb on route 42 in johto I get an error...I have posted Screenshot of error below.Kindly provide me with appropriate solution.

I'm sorry for this inconvenience but you have to defeat Johto E4 in order to use Rock Climb. Seems that you already have enough happiness on your Venipede.

Edit after Shakumi's reply: Well, removed quote about lvl 50 Pokemon.

It no longer need level 50 to use rock climb after the rock climb revamp, but yes, you will need to be Johto Champion to use Rock Climb in Johto and Hoenn Champion for the rock climb in Hoenn.

For the Rock Climb in Sinnoh, you just need the 7th Gym badge of Sinnoh to use it.
