It's boring, not to mention not all BGM fit the area we're in, so it sounds stupid as well (who the heck expect to hear a cheerful route 1 theme in an endgame dungeon?) I'm estimating more than 80% of veteran players now play with muted sound due to how boring the BGM is. Really, aside from map update and PC box update, the update I think we need the most is BGM update. The right ambiance can keep us playing for a longer time.
