I was battling Gary and when I beat him the servers crashed

When the servers came back on I tried talking to Gray again thinking I have to battle him but he just sends me back to the Pokemon center

Before the server crashed I was fighting Gary and I beat him and as soon as I beat him the game crashed and when the server came back on I went to talk to him again thinking I was just going to battle him again which I was fine with but he just sent me to the pokemon center instead and now I can't get back to to fight him or anything like that at all

Unfortunately, what you're describing is a result of rollback. Even though you defeated Gary, the server didn't save after the battle. With the way the server & client are coded, it recognized that you battled Gary, but it didn't register as a victory... so you were sent back to the PC.

 

I know this is frustrating. We're trying to minimize the reasons why the server crashes. You'll need to rebattle when the 24 hour timer is up.
