Hello there, and sorry for the inconvenience;

When you can see the "logging in" prompt fading away, and have no further message, you're either lagging, the server is, or you're in a ghost queue, which is when many people are trying to join the game at the same time.

Since you experienced lag ingame, and that it was a server sided issue this time, many people might have left the game instead of waiting out in it, then tried to join again at the same time, resulting in a ghost queue :Angel:

 

Due to that, my advice would be to actually stay logged in when experiencing lag, unless told otherwise: it will stop lagging before everyone from the ghost queue got to join back the game, and logging queries from hundreds of people won't help the servers stop lagging :Smile:
