There are a few trainers that still rebattle me. Among them are the sages in the 1st and 2nd level of the sprout tower, the 2 trainers behind the buildings in Celadon and this guy in Hoen.

It's normal. After a certain amount of time, they battle again

 

You have been away from the game? That changed a few months ago. Most trainers dont rebattle you any longer unless you speak to them. But some random trainers like the above seem to follow the older system of the 7 days respawn.

Yes that's true, many trainers in Kanto battle with you again in 7 days even if you don't speak to them. For example, the trainers at viridian forest.

I dont think it is, this has supposedly changed and there was a post made by the admins telling us to report any NPC not following the new rules so they could be fixed as well....And thats what i do!

Those Trainer NPCs have been fixed now. You will have to battle them one more time to trigger the new script. Thank you for your report and have a nice day~
