I believe I may be having a glitch in game with the Lake Trio Quest. I am unable to locate the adamant orb in any of the locations listed within guides. Appears there are 2 possible spawns and the other items spawned in pokeballs that were visible which I located. The only one that does not show up is the adamant orb and I am unable to interact with the statue of Dialga to gain the pokedex data.

 

Unless I am missing a possible spawn location this appears to be a glitch.

It appears that we've overlooked a location for the Adamant Orb while updating the guide; there are 3 total possible spots, the last one added following your report being at the Old Chateau:
