Grimmpotter Posted January 25, 2018 Share Posted January 25, 2018 Hello everyone i hope you are doing good, i'am new on PRO i've tried the app the first time on android but the screen was too small so i wanted to play on Windows 7 .. but the client doesn't work when i try to run PRO the client open but i only get a black screen with a message " PRO2K18 doesn"t respond " :confused: Please any solutions i really want to play PRO :/ Thanks in advance ~~. Hello :Smile: Please try the following solutions which may help you with your issue. 1.Change your desktop screen resolution, 2.Launch your PRO game client, 3.Revert your resolution change back to your initial one. 4. Delete all of the files related to PRO from your system and again download the game. 5. Try to run the game in admin mode and add an exception for PRO to your antivirus if it's p blocking the game. This is a known issue where most of the times, it is related to the desktop resolution. You could have found the answer in the topic mentioned under the third subforum rules, which holds a ton of useful information regarding the common issue related to PRO. Forum rules 3. Before you post please read this Issue Guide. quoting for visibility: Black screen when launching the client If you have a black screen instead of the login screen when you start your game client, here are the quick steps to follow for an easy fix: Change your desktop screen resolution, Launch your PRO game client, Revert your resolution change back to your initial one. Note that this is not a fix to the "stuck at loading map screen" issue, for which you will have to create a topic about if you encounter it. Let me know how it goes. Daedalus007 Posted January 25, 2018 Share Posted January 25, 2018 Make sure you are on Windows 7 SP1 SP1 download: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5842 Make sure you've installed the Windows 7 Platform Update Platform Update: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=36805 Download the DirectX files and install manually to overwrite any potential corrupted ones (usually some other games may do this if you play older games they might overwrite files). The latest is June 2010. You can try the web installer but often that doesn't force-overwrite files so the redistributable is better since it does that to overwrite files with the latest/last version.
