but there is 1 missing thing which is the most important :

the list of pokemon that npc may ask to see

I believe there is a pool, a range, not just randomly choose from 700 pokemons

 

and I did miss a day previously when it should be my day 4

the day after, everything started from day 1

previous progress did not be counted

 

As for the pokémon pool or range for the quest, I think they are pokémon that can be found in Sinnoh region. Meaning it should be starting with dex number #387 (Turtwig) and onwards. Well, that's just my assumption. Once we have more information, I can add the list later.

As for the progress reset, when you started again from day 1, you received the same rewards? what about your day 4 rewards?

 

since I missed my day 4, I didn't get anything

in the next day, I completed the quest as day 1 and received leppa berries

I got a shiny wingull after the 25th time helping him. Seems like it doesn't have to be in a row.

I will like to contribute saying I've been doing this quest a lot. A few days ago, I apparently hit a 25 day streak, as I was rewarded with a Shiny Wingull. I have been keeping up with the streak for a while now and I got to say the rewards are awesome. I now have 3 masterballs to catch my remaining legendaries.

Yesterday i got a shiny wingull as an additional reward. It was the 23 day i did the quest (7+7+7+2 [without missing a day]). I also found "Winter clothesPnk" and "winter hat Pnk" in my backpack (i am pretty sure i got it from the reporter too)
