I can extract the game and start playing it, however, once the game closes, the app disappears from the resfix file as well. I could just be doing something wrong, but I have had to redownload it many many times and it is getting frustrating.

Can you guys please try to add an exception for the game to your antivirus; it's usually what's deleting files when flagging them as potential threats. The game may have triggered a false positive in your antivirus, thereby deleting the game. But this game doesn't contain any viruses.

 

You should also try to move the game's folder to another hard drive partition than C drive , if that's where yours currently is. This might also help as some people are having problems with their game being in the C drive.
