Hi there. After losing to Red, you simply have to head to lavender town to continue the story. If you need further help, please check out the Kanto Walkthrough.

You would've been force battled right after beating the Grass Gym. You aren't supposed to win against Red. Simply proceed to Lavender town to continue the story.
