Thanks for posting this, it is actually really interesting to see.

As far as I know, it's to create a sense of challenge and mystery. If you don't know the levels right away, you won't intentionally grind to a point where you can easily overpower them based on level so you have to resort to strategy.
-
Yes, that is completely normal. It is like that for all "strong" NPC trainers barring bosses. There is a small trick to determine the gyms true level. Simply add a "5" after the number of the gym. Essentially; Gym 1: Lv15 Gym 2: Lv25 Gym 3: Lv35 So on and so forth.
-
Then you'll have to progress through the region until you can go back into Oreburgh City through the alternate route as Rock Smash is not required in Sinnoh to progress besides that area. You do not need to go through that area to go to Eterna City. Or, alternatively, you could just buy it from someone else. Unless you went through without beating Oreburgh's gym. If that's the case and staff haven't responded by the time you're on, ask in All chat if someone would be so kind to rescue you by coming to you and giving/selling you the TM.

There is an NPC in one of the houses in Oreburgh City that will sell Rock Smash for $5,000. TM114 for reference.

This is what happens when servers are down and/or there is a ghost queue. A ghost queue occurs right after servers have been brought back online after being down for maintenance or crashing. It is simply delaying the login process for you and may cause game to not respond. Best bet is to check the server status (easiest on Discord listed on main site). You can also check your account dashboard by clicking the "Account" option on the main website to see if there has been any disciplinary action taken against you that would prevent you from logging on.

NPC Dialogue Errors [NOT NPC BUGS]
Firelordizumi replied to Unknown007's topic in NPC & Scripting Bugs
Minor dialogue error here. Safari (Kanto) attendant states there are 2 options when there are actually 3. -
Hyper Potions healing 200HP is a Gen 6 mechanic. In Gen 7, it was changed to 120HP. The game runs on Gen 7 mechanics that Gamefreak established.

Easter event. Can't Get Egg. "This Egg is Still Here"
Firelordizumi replied to Rekkuzz's topic in NPC & Scripting Bugs
This doesn't really fix the problem with that egg, however, that egg is not one of the eggs needed to get the Lapras mount. It is a special "hidden" egg which goes toward the 5 special eggs to get the Normal Cloak reward. The eight Johto eggs to get Lapras mount are: • Dark Cave North • Ilex Forest • Glitter Lighthouse 2F • Route 45 • Route 47 • Sprout Tower F3 • Slowpoke Well • Whirl Islands First Floor South East The five special eggs are: • Lake or Rage • Tohjo Falls • Nap Island • Eastern Plateau • Mt Silver Mountainside -
That's because you don't go by boat. There's an entrance to the plateau at the top.
-
For the eggs, do you have to turn in one region's eggs before collecting another? I collected all the Sinnoh eggs already. Trying to get Hoenn ones but none of them are actually being picked up. They're just saying the same dialogue that the did before the event started

If you are disconnected while doing the BCC the timer will continue counting down. If the BCC time is over by the time you log back in, when you log in you will be in the judging portion of the BCC. So, if you had a BCC winning Pokemon while being disconnected you will still have it, still be able to get it judged, and still potentially win.

NPC Dialogue Errors [NOT NPC BUGS]
Firelordizumi replied to Unknown007's topic in NPC & Scripting Bugs
Small dialogue error here. When speaking to the Security Officer before completing New Mauville, he says this: It is supposed to say, "I'd advise speaking to the power plant's site-manager, Wattson, ...." or "I'd advise speaking to the power plant's site Manager in Mauville, ...." as, well, you clearly can't go inside a person. -
Dig Spots - Sinnoh [OUTDATED - CAN BE CLOSED]
Firelordizumi replied to Kaminokage's topic in Outdated Guides
Only new things I found this time around was a Swinub and Diglett at Mt.Coronet Summit. -
The amount of hours in order to do things in this game is on an incredibly steep slope. I can understand anything ranging from 100-400 hours but anything past that, in my opinion, is more of a middle finger to anyone who casually plays the game. Most notable example of this would be 1000+ hours required to catch Genesect. Then you have the split hours requirements between regions. 750+ for the legendary beasts. So on and so forth. MMO's with play-time requirements have play-time requirements built around how long gameplay lasts, barring a few extraordinary examples. In this game, however, the hour requirements seem to be placed without regard to how long the game actually takes to play. Currently, I am sitting at 250 hours of playtime. I have beaten all four regions, have a nearly complete PVP team ready among various other teams in the works. I have the vast majority of Pokemon caught and evolved yet I am not even halfway to being able to do many of the things I want to. This isn't conducive to a positive player environment. Setting such steep goals paints an image in the player's head of impossible achievements and it will force them to leave the game which is why saying that most players do not make it to or past the hour requirements is a safe bet. I understand this game is in beta. I understand there are more things to come to fill this vast void. However, even in beta, good games do not have these voids. They adjust and react accordingly and scale appropriately to the gameplay. Not to say this game isn't good, it's absolutely fantastic and a dream come true for many. Just wanted to see if I'm the only one who thinks this..
