if you are one who enjoys collecting/catching pokemon, then the ruthlessness of the pvp scene would be to your advantage. you should be able to obtain any pokemon you want for a reasonable price if the ivs dont matter to you. Then again, once you have quickly obtained all the pokemon you want, you will eventually look for a new goal, which will probably be to collect shinies, or better iv pokemon. So yeah, even if you avoid it at the start, you are going to have to face the problem of better iv pokemon, simply being better. i mean i have have plenty of bagons/dratinis that arent worth the time to train nor sell... its the nature of any mmo really, and i'd advice you to get used to it :/

lol are u serious? people say bo so that everyone knows what the "best offer" on that particular pokemon is at the time. He has every right to chose an instant price after getting a feel for the value of that pokemon. what is a "scammer list" doing in the game guides anyway? It makes no sense to waste peoples time if you're not going to sell the pokemon. Start the bidding at the least amount you will take...this is common sense and how it works on every mmo i've ever played. if you have really played a lot of mmo's, you would know this is not uncommon at all. The seller have every right to decide when he wishes to sell his poke, and for how much he wishes to sell it. You see many ppl selling a poke with a "bo", who then put up an instant price for that pokemon after they get a few offers. If you want a true auction, wait for the auction house....

read the main post, didnt bother with comments. I believe its good the way it is. bagon/dratini/larvitar actually arent that hard to find, and spawn in common training areas. if u want to fix something fix the staryu/shelder/froakie spawns. But that too, not by much. If things become too easy this game will be dead in no time, and no one wants that.

auction house should come eventually, its only a matter of time really. as for trading, i think the current method is fine the way it is. firstly, the game needs as many money sinks as it can get. besides that, the game is already too easy. i just completed jhoto e4 and both leagues only required to pokemon (lvl 70s for kanto and 85 for jhoto). all of the usually difficult and time consuming challenges such as celadon team rocketet quest (game corner) and silph scope quests presented little to no challenge. i dont mean in a pve a sense, but a in a puzzle solving sense (though viridian maze and pokemon tower did prove to be quite the challenging, i feel we need more puzzles). making trading easier will only make the game boring and effortless. Though if the community at large does feel that the system needs to be changed, maybe implement an item that provides users with the ability to trade from anywhere? make the item obtainable through game or the cash shop :s PS : pls make exp boosts and ms tradable ingame :|
