I think overall from what I've heard is there is usually a big black and white between players that do something wrong in this game, most of the time it's either the player has done something wrong and therefore should be banned [60-70%], or the player has done something that can be talked about and could be talked about to resolve [30-40%]. However due to this being completely done on forums this process could take days rather then hours. Due to how Forums are setup generally.
What my suggestions for this would be.
- All staff members should have a Discord account.
- A separate Discord should be made just for staff to be in [for communication]
- The format of the application for applying for appeals should be changed to include discord names.
- Every rank should only be able to be DM on discord if they have the person on their discord friends list
- When a rank accepts taking a case, they add the person on discord and the case can probably be handled within 1-2hrs.
- The rank copy pastes the conversation onto topic via screencaps once completed and locks topic.
Conversations rather then posts generally drop the time of dead air between posting and allows both Game Masters and Community Cords to process everything faster.
Once the matter is completed the user can be deleted from the Discord Friends list of that staff member so they can't receive DMs from them again.Having all Staff on discord would allow all of them to talk and communicate more amongst themselves in real time, and higher Staff delegate work if something needs fixing directly or something needs to be handled directly.

Sounds good, however it compromises the private information we seek to protect in appeals (one of the reasons was mencioned by G3n), especially when it comes to scams, account hacking or RMT.
Another aspect to keep in mind is that not all appeals are simple as many are part of the investigations and can't be sorted out in a day or two xd. Other point to highlight is that the only person that can take your appeal is the person who punished you, this is not to make a mess. -
I want to be the clearest and most respectful of course. I understand the frustration at not being able to immediately find the way to continue through the quest, and for this reason, i want to clarify some points:
- The guides are supposed to be a challenge for the player, which means that it will be so difficult to continue, so take the time to enjoy the event, you can work together with friends. The more difficult something is, the more rewarding it is in the end!
- The staff will never provide guides. This would basically destroy the main purpose of our content staff work: Mappers, Content Scripters, Story Writers, Artist, Testers, Devs, all of them contribute to make this event a reality.
- Although events are way different now, these changes may not be to your liking. You're always free to suggest improvements or/and share your concerns about it, always in the most respectful way possible.
I also want to emphasize that the people who make guides are not staff members, therefore, they don't have access to private information nor participated in its creation. It's normal that they are missing details or have incorrect information, you're always free to support them by providing more info. Together we can do this in the best way!
Well, I don't want to go into the drama but I think that all of us here should maintain a respectful attitude, we all here as members of the community deserve respect. Make sure to read and follow our forum rules as remaining with this attitude may lead to punishments.
Take this as a verbal warning. You're free to create a thread under the complaint area if you feel that you were treated unfairly.

Hi everyone and welcome in the 36th Official Ladder Tournament !
This tournament is for the top 25 players of the ladder of August 2020! Please register within the next eight days!
The ladder tournament will be on showdown with PRO rules!
To make the tournament cross server
To keep a safe log of all matches
To give the option to play more different teams
- Ranked pvp rules apply. Please familiarize yourself with these if you have not done so already.
- If you disconnect, it will be counted as a loss unless your opponent agrees to a rematch.

Finish the matches within the stated time:
-
If you didn't complete your match within the stated time, the winner will be decided by coinflip.

If your opponent tried to contact you and you didn't react within the stated time, you will be disqualified. -Evidence is needed in this case!
- You have to post the replay links to prove that you won within the given time.
- You will have 2~4 days per round!
- You can use as many Pokemon as you want and don't need to register them.
- You can only use Pokemon that are catchable and not banned on PRO.
- You have to join the ladder tournament discord, before the tournament starts. You will get the invite link, after your registration
- Shaymin (Land) will be allowed in our tournaments however Shaymin (Sky) remains banned.
- Landorus-Incarnate is not allowed in our tournaments.
- You are allowed to use following abilities that do not work 100 % correctly in PRO: Competitive, Cute Charm, Drought, Drizzle, Ice Body, No Guard, Refrigerate, Sand Stream, Snow Warning, Synchronize, Mold Breaker.
- You are allowed to use following moves that do not work 100 % correctly in PRO: Belch, Bug Bite, Bulldoze, Defog, Detect, Doom Desire, Flare Blitz, Mirror Coat, Parting Shot, Protect, Rapid Spin, Razor Wind, Sleep Talk, Softboiled, Slack Off, Stealth Rock, Sucker Punch, Spikes, Toxic Spikes, Taunt, Pressure, Magic Coat.

Q: Which Pokemon can be used in showdown tournaments?
A: You can use all Pokemon, abilities, items and moves that were coded and allowed, when the tournament started.

The list is longer, so only use them, if you are sure that they are coded and allowed. If you are unsure, feel free to ask.
Q: We didn't finish our match within the given time. What happens now?
A: If you tried to contact your opponent and s/he didn't answer, then your opponent will be disqualified. Evidences are needed.
If both of you didn't try to contact each other or weren't able to agree on a date, then the match will be coinflipped.
Q: The timer in PRO is different than in Showdown. What do we do?
A: If your opponent asks and you agree with the timer, it will be counted as you agreed with it (it is possible for us to see the Chat History on sd). If your opponent turn on the timer without asking for your input and you don't want it, you are allowed to quit the match and rematch it after. This is only applied if he turned the timer on the current turn, or previous turn, so pay attention to SD Chat.
Q: PRO has no formats. Which one do we use?
A: Gen 7 Anything Goes.
Q: I can't agree on different terms with my opponent. What happens now?
A: If you make reasonable suggestions and your opponent does not agree without making his own suggestions, then it will count as a refusal to battle. If you and your opponent make reasonable suggestions, but still can't agree within the given time, then the match will be coinflipped.

With the recent changes, the winner of the ladder tournament has now the chance to choose one between two possible rewards:
- An Untradeable Pokémon of the one written into THIS REWARD LIST with IVs maxed at 31 30 27 26 25 22 spread as the winner most prefer, as well as nature and ability chosen by the winner

-An Untradeable Shiny Pokémon contained into THIS REWARD LIST with the Main Stat 31 IV and all the other IV centered (But not limited to) around 20. Nature and ability chosen by the winner.

It's evident that this post was made to cause drama so I'm going to close it because it doesn't really serve any beneficial purpose other than trying to ridicule our staff members. All your concerns are being answered in the complaint, so stick in there.
Just to clarify, complaints are private because we usually show some evidence which may include sensitive information and this is protected under our policies. If you ignore this comment and create another post with the same purpose, i will have to take some actions.

Taking into account some problems we have had with this type of events in the past, the potential way to RMT and the mayhem i'm always seeing coming, this is a big NO. I appreciate your intention to make some events for PRO but this time is denied.
If you have some concerns or if you want our reason better explained, feel free to make a post in the general complaint area.

Primero que nada quiero aclarar que el juego no se va a traducir a ningún idioma. Esto es debido al gran trabajo que requeriría incluso tocar el código del juego, y por supuesto, tampoco daremos acceso a personas externas a algo tan delicado. Sin embargo, estamos trabajando en traducir los menús, opciones, etc. No hay tiempo estimado de llegada.

Also, staff is not looking for "Ban because is forbidden in showdown" comments, we want actual reasons (why it should be banned or why not, with sceneries for example). Like some persons did.

Can we banned landorus-incarnate sheer force in ranked pvp while the ability for sand force can play in ranked pvp.
There will be a post where the community will be able to share their concerns and reasons on why Landorus... should or shouldn't be banned.
@advaith Well, we are not showdown. This doesn't mean i want Landorus Incarnate Sheer Force allowed, but basing your arguments on showdown isn't exactly an acceptable reason or at least your opinion shouldn't be based entirely on it, to vote

Legendaries are not necessarily stronger than other non legends, in fact they are often even worse (who knows you Regice). Also don’t expect a Latios to speed tie a Gengar, it’s pretty unlikely to have good ivs on legendaries, simply because rerolling is so expensive.

This is how our rules have always worked, punishments are based on two factors: the nature of the offense itself and the player's history. These are also divided into severity levels, and each level can be divided and treated differently. If you want it simplified, it works like in a baseball game. Let me give you an example:
As you can see in this thread, we divide the infractions into 5 levels, this is ascending and depends on the damage it can does to the game and the community.
Severity 1 - S1 includes every minor infractions such as inappropriate behaviour, minor toxicity, misuse of the official channels, etc. If the staff considered that you have broken a S1 infraction, it can result in small mutes (normally for seconds or some minutes). In the same way if the player insists on committing S1 infractions, it can lead to quietbans as stated in the post.
Severity 2 - S2 includes infractions involves heavier things, we normally seek to stop so as not to affect third parties. Hate speech, racism, staff impersonation, many S1 infractions in a short period of time are just some of the S2 infractions
Regarding your question, we log the severity 2 infractions in a space dedicated to that. If we consider that a player has broken the rules at this level for the first time, they normally will be punished for a couple of days, but if some time later he commits another infraction of this level of severity, the punishment days are increased and they can be leading to temporary ban or permanent ban if are repeated for the enough quantity of times. If a player uses an alt account to repeat an infraction, we punish both, alt and main accounts.
S-3, S-4, S-5 don't include chat infractions. They have another nature.
