I was thinking about a new mechanic the other day regarding hunting : The PokeRecycler
Most of us probably have hundreds if not thousands of mons that need to be binned or have been binned already, but what if you could make your hours / days (weeks?) of hunting worth ?
As the name may induce it, it would work pretty like the item recycler but for pokemons.
I've had two ways of use in mind but I don't know which one would be the most fair without hurting the current market too much.
Idea 1 :
I'll use arbitrary numbers for examples, but let's say you have 1500 OT binnable gligars, which would represent maybe a month or two of hunt I assume (I INSIST on the OT thing)
if you bin 1500 OT gligars you have to pick a reward between : gligar lock iv ticket / nature change ticket / ability change ticket
you could add thresholds like 10k gligar would allow you to transform one into a form gligar ( let's say for example 5m option + you must own an OT form before just like chroma's discount)
and 100k gligars would allow you to transform one into shiny for example (also paying option)
Obviously transforming them would make them untradeable.
The main issue I have with this is that it could affect staff rewards to some extent, especially on the long run after people start to get more and more cool mons staff rewards would get less interesting, though it would still be an achievement to bin that many mons.
Also I don't know dev wise if that couldn't cause many issues since if they have to create tickets for each huntable mons item list would be too big
And last point I don't know if this should be limited to rare tier encounters or not.
The idea would be to find a decent number to not make this impossible to reach without making it more worth than spending a few millions on a pvpable one in trade chat / auctions
Idea 2 :
Much closer to Item recycler, releasing 6 or 10 times the same species give you a reward ranging from hunting items (normal balls / pvp items / repels of each tier / rare balls / rarest items being master ball etc)
This could be developped with new items like Poke Specific nature ticket or ability ticket (though that would face dev issues just like idea 1) or even a consumable that makes you encounter more of the mon you already dedicated hours hunting (that's evil)
I'd love to get community feedback about those ideas, which one you prefer, which sounds realistic or not (most importantly why!!)
I only posted this as a suggestion to make hunting a bit more rewarding for those who are keen on getting OT mons or giving chance to players that dont have a lot of money or connections to get cool stuff
This may have already been suggested before I didn't go through every topics, sorry if it has been suggested already I didn't mean to copy anything.
