  1. I've been grinding for the 6th gym (steel) for a while now, probably just because my pokemon choice, but it also seemed pretty intense. My tododile is still level 10, lol... Its my hm mule because its stats were terrible
  2. Finished the other day. Gyarados is OP! Sorry, forgot to capture 6th gym =(
  3. The guy in the basement in Goldenrod was just insane compared to anything else so far (including the gym leader right after). Once you get to Morty in the 4th gym, his difficulty level is MUCH higher than his trainers in his gym (I understand its supposed to be this way, but that was a bit too much even though I defeated him in 1 go) *On a side note: I used a Granbull and Morty's Gengar did nothing but use dream eater on me without me being asleep. I've loved the difficulty ranges so far, I've had to grid up a little bit just before almost every gym and it works well. These are just two spots that seem odd.
  4. Good points, I guess it would eventually evolve into that instead of a reasonable measurement of nice people.
  5. PRO Username: Darrare Do you have active membership?: Yes Your knowledge about PRO: Basic Knowledge What have you done before the problem was there? After I beat the Kanto Elite Four I made my way to johto only to realize I didn't take the leftovers off of my gyarados =( What have you already tried to solve the problem? It isnt solvable on my end. Description and Message Is there any way that a mod or admin could remove the leftovers from my gyarados in my PC and trade it to me sometime? I'm almost back to the point where I was on Red server, and I forgot to bring my leftovers because I was in a hurry. If this is possible, I would really appreciate it =)
  6. s What I meant by default server is storing a setting in your personal files that defaults to whichever server you played last. I play on blue now, so whenever i start the game blue should be selected first. But it does need to be more noticeable for the new players specifically.
  7. I switched to blue server and every time I turn the game on it defaults to red. Not that big of a deal but the server selection is also something that does not catch a users eye as soon as they start the game, so new players are likely all going to red anyways.
  8. Now that I'm getting more involved and I know more about the game, I'm trying to help people if I can. ... And then you have people like Einstein that do nothing except for help people =) You should create a "Fame" system where if someone helps you or does something cool you can give them a point. A game I used to play way back in the day had a system like this and it is a cool way to get the community motivated to be better people! https://maplewiki.net/index.php?title=Fame
  9. Go make a post for this in the suggestion forum RIGHT NOW!
  10. I'm with Deathwing on this one. If you were able to transfer over pokemon it would become a management game where before you go to Johto (and future regions) you have a pokemon at every level ready to transfer over once you reach that point to beat the next gym.
  11. Well i bought membership on red (just started playing a few days ago) and I have no problem supporting them in what they are doing for buying a mount/membership on blue. Even though i'm a poor college student, $10 spent is 2-3 times i just have to eat at home instead of at a fast food place. Everyone should think this way btw. Support them so they keep creating great content!
  12. I'm thinking about switching to blue server, but if I do that I would want to get membership and a mount right at the start. If I log in and buy the mount, can I use it immediately or do I need to do some other task first?
  13. So i beat the kanto elite four, and I want to go to johto, but is there anything I should do/get before I go there that would help me along my way?
  14. The moment that happens is the moment when we start seeing 6 31iv'd pokemon with 252 in its strongest areas and with a perfect nature. Hacking a single player client has a difficulty level of beginner.
  15. There are many ways to do new servers. They either handle some of the load, but you have 1 account that is usable on any server. Or you have one login but can effectively have two different accounts based on each server (most games do it like this.) I just got to Kanto's elite four and i've been farming up for it all day. Idk if I want to just continue or start on the new server where I can be on an equal footing with everyone.
  16. Are the servers going to be completely different? Or can I log into one, play my account, then log into the other and continue? I also wouldn't mind a fresh restart so I can be on equal footing with everyone, lol!
  17. Glad to see some good feedback =)
  18. Making the pokemon in the wild more difficult would be more than enough to suffice this games XP system (which i think is good as is, but gets frustrating around level 70+) Not just crafting TM's and stuff, but having a whole line of professions would be really really cool and would get the community more involved with each other. I suggest making a suggestion post specifically with this request. EV leveling is something I do, but I hate doing it every time. I think it would be fine if they added the power items. But for gods sake, DONT ADD SUPER TRAINING.
  19. 1) At first I was against this, but it really does make sense. Regardless, its such a small percentage anyways to get a shiny, so this would rarely occur. If you were hunting for good IV's and you found a shiny with shitty IV's it would be pretty depressing. (Also note to admins, add a shiny multiplier of like 1.1 to membership benefits and more people would purchase!) 2) While this isn't a bad idea in my opinion, it isn't such a big deal that it should have a high priority. I would assume they will do this eventually though because there is nothing gamebreaking about it. 3) I was actually coming to post this suggestion when i read this, lol. An MMO needs as many cash sinks as possible to prevent the economy from exploding. even if it was just $100 a ride, or perhaps more expensive to the later areas in each region.
  20. The powerspike when you evolve "most" pokemon is really really large. In your comparison, the level 30 growlithe might be stronger, but the EXP ratio doesn't affect it to that extreme. My advice (coming from someone who only has 7 badges) is to evolve your pokemon when you need them. If you have a sandshrew before Lt.Surge, evolve it into a sandslash. If you have a squirtle before Blaine, evolve it twice to blastoise. Once I get to the elite four is when I'm going to create my super team with good iv's and ev's at which point i'll probably get them to around 90-100 before i evolve them (unless i need them!)
  21. Since I am new, I am sitting in the help channel just in case someone asks a question that might help me later. I see the same few questions asked and as a programmer I know it wouldn't be too difficult to implement a "Tip" system that scrolls across the top/bottom of the screen that can be disabled in the options. Optional to this would be to make the "Tip" system able to detect sort of where the player is in their storyline so that it can apply hints specific to their position. An example would be to have a tip in Fuscia City that says, "Somewhere in the Safari Zone lies the SURF hidden machine!", or in Pokemon tower, "There are weird entities in this place, but I think something is in development in Celedon City that might help!" I could go on an on with these examples, but they all are pretty straight forward.
  22. Update. Noticed it happened more often
  23. This might be a levitate issue thats less localized, but he used it 5 times in a row (got almost 3 levels from killing it though!) and missed every time. Gamer Stan is in Route 8 on the North West side. EDIT: Noticed this as well in a few other situations. My Haunter just went from 35-39 because Red's Gyarados in the Saffron rocket base only used earthquake.
  24. How to replicate: Level a pokemon until they learn a new move. (Must be a trainer battle with more than 1 pokemon) Replace an old move. New move will have its current PP equal to its old move. IE 25/10. *Note: Move fixes itself after the battle ends.
  25. Kind of an odd suggestion, but since I am a new player I keep my chat on the "Help" tab in case someone asks a question that might help me at a later time. Since I am on this tab I see a bunch of questions and complaints about how difficult the game is and what not. With enough people saying "add Exp. Share", "allow breeding", or other statements of the like (I saw someone today say that the queue is stupid and should be removed.....) most companies would eventually give in and do what the majority was interested, but my suggestion is to hold your own and keep developing YOUR game. Take a note from blizzard... Everyone wanted world of warcraft to be more accessible to casual players, and now everyone is getting discouraged because the game is too easy anymore.
