Being Able to continue Progress from red server to Blue server without a Reset.

Can't launch app on Macbook Pro (2009)
Are you making sure that Files and the .exe are located in the same place? Same folder, etc? That may be your problem.

When you connect to the server and the "Logging in" shows up then fades away, you're in a "ghost queue." The "ghost queue" is the same as normal queue, except you can't see the queue time/login status. Just give it time. However you say it is there for hours on end, which seems weird. Have you tried restarting your internet before hand at all?

Maintenance is indeed for the release of Blue server. This has nothing to do with Hoenn.

Item lost
Did the server close/reboot/crash at all during the time you were fishing? And for future reference I would suggest pressing ESC, then pressing "Log Out" after paying for Key Items, etc. Simply because the server does have rollbacks, and logging out is the only way to insure your work will be saved.

Error with waiting queue / logging in
As long as it said "Logging in.." and then it fades away, you're in a ghost queue. Just give it time to log you in, you're in queue but it doesn't pull up the queue box.

Logging In?
If you've successfully connected to the server, and the "Logging in.." pops up, then vanishes then you're in an invisible queue. Give it a while as queue times can get quite lengthy. (:
