  1. 125125 It's actually quite a simple concept, it gets confusing the more you think about it.

    Say you have

    charmander level 30

    charmeleon level 30

if you find a wild pokemon and defeat it, with either one. you will get the same exp amount.

    however,

charmander needs less to get to the next level.

charmander: needs 4000xp to level 31

charmeleon: needs 6000xp to level 31

(these numbers are not accurate, they are just written in a way to better understand the concept)

We know that's how it works in PRO, but the people in this thread are saying that it doesn't work that way in the official games, rather it's the other way around. A charmander or charmeleon requires the same exp to get to level 31, but different pokemon give different exp when you defeat them. In generation 6, Pokemon that you didn't evolve and are raising above the normal evolution level will get a boost in exp but it doesn't hinder the number of exp necessary for it or its evolutions.
  2. The IV rating is off a system that Darkjester (and friends  but mainly Jester) is working with to figure a way of making it more fair. This sytem would allow for an accurate measure based on the stats of your pokemon to see how well it stands up, based purely on the stats and nothing more. This does not take into account the way you wish to use your pokemon or anything. It is just a pure number.
Okay, basically the price based on probable potential. Thank you.

Added my Taillow to the post as an example. DarkJester is working on a new potential rating system based off some of the posts here already. So lets see what happens.
Oh thank you so much! I get it now. I hope that the new changes for the rating system will turn out better this time :)
  3. Make sure you have version 0.94 of PRO. On the title menu, click on the rectangle below where you put your username and password that says Red Server. Change it to Blue Server. Remember to do this everytime though because the program doesn't remember it for you.

  4. From what I played so far, the beginning of the game seems to actually have more trainers than the original games. I don't think they are going to add even more trainers because of that. Also, I would love it if Double Battles, Triple Battles, and Rotation Battles were implimented into the game, and at least I can see Double Battles being a thing. A lot of people don't like the latter two, so there may not be a chance of those.

  5. Playing this game with a friend, which I never got the ability to play a regular Pokemon game alongside someone before though I've played Pokemon since 3rd gen so it's great that I can finally have that experience. Currently grinding up my Pokemon to beat Brock so I'm ready whenever my friend wants to play again, and I caught a shiny Weedle. Hoping to raise it later to make it a Mega Beedril when Mega Evolutions are implimented.

  6. 2-3 what? HP? If you only lost a little HP then of course the leftovers are going to heal it afterwards. If it is 2-3 times the damage that mega drain did to the other Pokemon and all that HP was healed instantly, then yeah it would be a problem.

  7. It does not have to be live trading. It can just store the data of the pokemon temporarily until the other client on Red server has accepted the trade.
Oh, you mean like a Global Trading System or Wonder Trade? That could be interesting concept, though idk how the staff feel about taking the time to make the servers different.
  8. How would the servers connect to each other? Like the link cable room? The problem is, you won't be meeting people from the Red Server if you're on the Blue Server, so unless you know a friend who plays the other server or you rely on forums for overserver trading you're not going to have much luck, and the latter sounds like confusing work.

  9. Your username, intentional or not, looks like "Weed and Sh*t", weed referring to a street drug and the other being a cuss. I'd say try to look up some inappropriate English slangs since I think those are the ones most targetted for being banned. It's hard though I know because even certain name combinations can be banned, like if it were a person's name associated with some inappropriate business. I'd say google the parts of your username first before you create it to make sure nothing bad pops up from it.

  10. If the game was saved on a profile instead of a server, then it would be possible to have the same save go from one server to another. Though, it's harder to impliment, so that is why it is saved on a particular server. It could also be the creator's personal preference to do it like this, maybe saves costs or something. I have never coded something like this so idk much, but unless they changed the way the game saves you're not going to be able to carry over progress from one server to another.

  11. This just in, the Blue Server is now online!

Blue server: now operationalized as we aim to juggle ends between accommodating for more players and curbing an excess of bandwidth on each.
Be wary about that the Blue Server could have problems, but also have fun :)
  12. From their official twitter

Server: down for a 6-hour (tentative) preparatory maintenance while the Blue server - a new' date=' additional game-server - is being integrated.[/quote'] Real excited that it is real close to being released. I've been waiting to try this game out so bad with a friend of mine. This is gonna be sooo fun.
  13. You could try looking for audio clips of voice actor Pokemon cries that don't have any background noise. I think I've actually seen a few videos on Youtube that have a compilation of some of them. Also, if you've ever heard of Pokemon Play It, it's a Pokemon TCG training game and a good percentage of the Pokemon cries used are from the show that you can look up online. You may need to try editing the background noise for some of the Pokemon show cries or voice them yourself though, idk if you can find all of them clear.

  14. Re: My maps ^^

<r>That looks awesome <E></E> The criticism I could give it is that the trees on the top left corner are on top of tall grasses. I'm new to mapping too so I wouldn't be able to tell if anything else is wrong with it, but I think it looks great as it is.</r>

  15. I'd say if you do have any suggestions for improvement on the game, you can post them in the suggestions section of the forum. See if you can help people in the forums or in the game when needed. Make fanart or videos related to the game. I wouldn't worry too much about not having contributed enough to the game because it seems like you've done good already. :Shy: Just playing the game is contributing to it.
