Server was online for a solid 35 seconds guys, don't complain. Remember this game is still in beta, so it justifies being offline for 6+ hours on weekends. Just wait patiently and don't complain or you'll get muted.

If you switch box while you in storage. It fixes the no closing problem, also if you want to release pokemon, make sure pokemon stat box is closed
